Principle Studio Engineer

Role Description

Using your strong proven skills, you will be responsible for taking designs to the next stage. Working closely with our clients Engineering teams across the globe, you will use your expertise to problem solve, whilst staying true to the design integrity, to build the vehicles of the future.

You will represent design, communicating design intent to our engineering teams, documenting feasibility, identifying and raising critical issues.

You will be solutions focused, generating viable resolutions for technical challenges. Able to transfer and describe engineering and key legislative requirements to design, you will translate engineering requirements into design possibilities. You will also be confident to present and articulate key issues to senior stakeholders.

Skills, Experience & Attributes

  • Complete vehicle/architecture engineering knowledge
  • Competent use of CATIA, Teamcenter and A2MAC essential
  • Ability to work individually as well as in cross-functional teams
  • A working knowledge of component manufacturing, tooling requirements and lead times would be advantageous
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An understanding of engineering and validation processes for vehicle components and systems would be desirable
